THE MENTAL STATE OF THE WORLD REPORT
The Mental State of the World report tracks trends in mind health and wellbeing across the Internet-enabled world and provides insights into their driving factors. This year, we present trends from 2024 and combine data from 2023 and 2024 that includes 1 million participants across 82 countries. We highlight the global decline in younger generations across countries, detailing the specific mental problems and functions that describe it.
Mind health and wellbeing, defined as the ability to navigate life’s challenges and function productively, is measured with the MHQ – an aggregate measure based on an assessment of 47 aspects of mental function on a life impact scale spanning six dimensions: Mood & Outlook, Social Self, Adaptability & Resilience, Drive & Motivation, Cognition, and Mind-Body Connection.
